The Build Process

Tour a Vista Home

Your journey starts with an in-person tour of one of our available new construction homes in Charlotte. You’ll meet with a Sales Agent, walk through our standard features, and learn the basics of our Build On Your Lot process.

Meet at Your Homesite

Next, our Sales Agent and Construction Manager will visit your property. Together, we’ll review which floor plans best fit your lot, confirm any required site work (such as grading or tree removal), and discuss how to maximize your land’s potential.

Choose Your Plan & Review Costs

Here’s where your vision takes shape. You’ll select from the floor plans suited to your lot, walk through the design and selections process, and receive a rough cost estimate for your build from start to finish.

Finalize Design & Selections

With your plan chosen, it’s time to make it yours. You’ll work with our team to personalize finishes, fixtures, and features so your home reflects your style and lifestyle needs.

Build With Confidence

Once everything is finalized, construction begins. Throughout the build, you’ll receive consistent updates from our team so you always know what’s happening at each stage—from breaking ground to move-in day.

Final Walkthrough & Move-In

Before you get the keys, you’ll complete a final walkthrough (Rewalk) with our Field Manager. This ensures that every detail noted during your New Home Orientation has been addressed and signed off on.
Then comes the best part—move-in day. With everything complete, you’ll receive the keys to your brand-new Vista home and start the next chapter of life in a space built just for you.
