4 Simple Steps To Owning A Vista Home

1
Getting Started
Getting To Know Each Other

Sit down with one of our sales associates to explore your options for owning a new Vista Home in Charlotte. During this conversation, we’ll learn about your lifestyle, preferences, and must-haves for your new home. We’ll walk you through available floor plans and home types—whether move-in ready, under construction, or part of our Semi-Custom Build On Your Land process—so you can choose the path that fits you best before moving on to Step 2.

Secure Your Land

Once you’ve selected your homesite and are ready to move forward, you’ll sign a Professional Services Agreement along with a non-refundable deposit. This step allows our team to begin site evaluation and prepare a detailed cost estimate specific to your chosen floor plan and the required land preparation for building your new home in Charlotte, NC.

2
Choose Your Floor Plan & Selections
Personalize Your Home with Designer Selections

With your estimate finalized, the design phase begins—this is where your vision comes to life. At Vista Homes, our included features are carefully curated and high-quality, giving you a strong foundation from the start. You’ll choose from multiple designer selection packages featuring finishes like black, gold, and chrome to match your style. Our streamlined process makes it easy and enjoyable as you move one step closer to owning your new home in Charlotte.

Finalize Your Contract & Begin Construction

After your selections are approved and all details are confirmed, you’ll sign your purchase contract and submit your new home deposit. With everything officially in motion, construction begins—and you’re on your way to watching your Vista Home come to life in Charlotte.

3
Construction Begins
Meet Your Build Team & Launch the Construction Process

Before construction officially begins, you’ll meet with your sales associate and project manager to review your floor plan, homesite, and selected features. This ensures every detail is accurate and aligned with your vision. Your project manager will then introduce you to the communication process, including bi-weekly update calls, so you stay informed and confident throughout every stage of your home’s construction.

Frame Walk – Review Your Home’s Structure & Selections

At the frame stage, your project manager will walk you through the home to confirm the placement of structural elements and any selected options. This step ensures everything is installed according to your plan and gives you the chance to see the quality of materials and craftsmanship behind the walls of your new home in Charlotte.

New Home Orientation & Final Walkthrough

Once construction is complete, your project manager will guide you through a full orientation of your new home. During this walkthrough, you’ll learn how key features and systems work, review warranty information, and ensure everything meets your expectations before closing day.

4
Move In
Close & Move Into Your New Vista Home

After all final touches are complete and every detail meets our standards, we’ll change the locks and prepare your home for move-in. Then comes the best moment of all — handing you the keys. Welcome to your new Vista Home!

Your Vista Home is built to be a lasting source of pride, comfort, and enjoyment for you and your family.
